(O)lymping along

Only a Great British athlete could come out with this. It’s what makes us great you know….

After predictions of 12 Golds and 35 medals for Team GB in China, swimmer Thomas Haffield capped a disappointing day for Britain by finishing 17th out of 29 in the 400 metre Individual Medley.

He explained, without any sense of irony what so ever -

“”Everything was great until I got into the water”

We may win Gold for the most quotable athletes…..

  3. I still think they ought to have a drug-manditory olympics. Imagine every athlete with their own personal pharmacist. At least that way everyone would be on an even playing field, so to speak.

    Before the olympics, all I heard about was protests, protests, protests, but once the thing got underway, all I heard was, “did you see the opening cerimonies? Wasn’t that spectacular?”

    Us Canadians, we’re so polite, the Canadian Olympic athletes let the other teams win just to be polite.

    Canada has ZERO medals. None, nada. Wanna know why? Cuz we don’t support our athletes, unless they are the Special ones..Look, don’t get me wrong, it’s great to support the mentally challenged, but we put more money into them then the real athletes. Gimme a break.
    Canadas tennis team was ranked FIRST in the WORLD. They didn’t even get a bronze.
